Professionally Complete Work In a Timely Manner

I was the project manager for Myrick Gurosky & Associates on the ground-up construction of the new First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs. One of my responsibilities was the solicitation and hiring of the subcontractors to form our construction team. We entered into a subcontract with Mike Mansfield and his company, Naillt Millworks, to perform the labor portion of the interior finish carpentry for the church, kitchen, fellowship and classroom areas.


This scope of work consisted of installation of shiplap wall siding, butt-jointed plank wall siding of alternating widths, window casings and trim, door casings and trim, window stools, base, wood caps, and miscellaneous wood trim. Also included was the installation of tongue and groove siding and rough-sawn beams at the sanctuary cathedral ceiling, which rises from 22 feet to a height of 36 feet. Naillt Millworks performed the installation of the doors and finish hardware, including three sets of barn doors, and the installation of the millwork throughout.


Mike provided the necessary manpower and tools to professionally complete his work in a timely manner which greatly aided us in meeting our desired completion date. I commend his team for their quality of work and their assistance in providing a successful completion of this unique project to the church and its congregation.

Blue Sky Woodworks used their services for a high-profile, complicated, intricate install of a retail store in The Shops at La Cantera in San Antonio, Texas. Their performance and abilities were far above the norm. On a site that had some of the largest issues we have faced with these types of installs, they helped complete the project with the smallest number of issues to resolve at completion. To be able to enter a work site with no knowledge of the complexity of the project and complete it to that high of a level is not an easy feat.
